Executive Function Learning Center Syllabus The goal of the executive function learning center is to focus on improving organizational and time-management skills. Executive functions can be defined as the ability to plan, strategically solve problems, self-regulate behavior, make decisions, pay attention, monitor and evaluate performance, and manage time. During the executive function learning center students will be focusing their attention on maintaining assignment pads, monthly planners and organized binders, as well as learning to manage their time and improve their study strategies. Students will be addressing individual goals and objectives related to executive function skills.
Areas of study will include:
Organization
Communication/listening skills
Note-taking
How to study for tests
Test-taking strategies
Research techniques and skills
Understanding individual learning styles
(Lessons will be closely tied to your work in your academic classes.)

Attend learning center regularly
Come prepared with appropriate materials
Participate in various group/individual activities
